Okay, sorry if this is kind of pedantic, or I'm dumb or something, but I was always under the impression that Chuck was originally a stand-in mainly for David Hewlett, but perhaps other characters as well. I know he has done stand-in for Joe F, but anyhow, and I'm getting to the point here... someone has altered the wikipedia Chuck article to say that Chuck was Joe's stand in. Now then, can anyone remember Chuck specifying about his stand-in-ness in an interview or anything? Thanks!

I seem to remember him saying that he was a stand-in for Joe for the other actors to read too, but I don't recall where. Maybe at Peg2 and other places in passing.

Angie's correct. I was originally hired to stand-in for Joe Flannigan for the pilot of "Atlantis" (Rising) but after a few camera tests in HD they thought I was too pale in colour, so they made me David Hewlitt's stand-in. I have been Mr. Hewlitts' stand-in ever since. Joe Flannigan's stand-in is Gerry Durrand (who also plays puddle jumper pilot Frank Levine, he has been in a few episodes over the years, one of them being "Adrift" in season four). I hope this helps and clears up any confussion.
-Chuck

Aw, thanks everyone! Thanks Chuck! (I didn't want to bother you as I knew everyone else would probably know ) That is *brilliantly* fascinating information about the character Frank Levine, and Gerry Durand! What a gem, thanks ;D *gets the school run out of the way before editing wikipedia* ;D

MAN I LOVE BEING RIGHT! It doesn't happen very often so I like to make a point when it happens.

Fi how the bl**dy hell did you manage to get that picture on Wiki??? Chuck asked me ages ago to use one of the publicity pictures he sent me on there and they wouldn't let me put it on however hard I tried or how many times I told them I owned it and the person IN it had asked for it to be used!!!

Oops! Well, it's a kind of complex copyright thing, where only the actual owner of a picture can put it on Wikipedia, and also any picture on Wikipedia must have a 'fair use rationale', and be given as public property. Basically I took that picture, and have uploaded it to Wikipedia in the knowledge that people can use it however they wish. We started off with one of my really poor stage pics, but it got replaced by a promo pic (was that you?) All Chuck's promotional pictures are copyright to MGM or whatever and I doubt if they would be happy to say anyone can save that picture and do whatever they like with it, even if Chuck is happy. I'm not sure about the B&W ones... I just hope Chuck doesn't mind my pic being there! It is a legitimate source of image, which is why I replaced the promo pic. It's a bit complex - PM me if you have a plan!

Yes I put the promo pic on there because Chuck asked me to!! I put the B&W one on there once, saying it was the actor's own publicity photo and that he asked for it to be used etc, but they took it off.
Never mind, when I told Chuck how much trouble it was putting pics on there he told me not to bother!! I'm sure he won't mind that one being on ;D
