I wanted to start this thread to see what was a big influence to people when they were growing up.
My film is The Breakfast Club I think that defined what I percieved high school would be like, when I got there it just sucked!

Woah thats a toughie, I think that the movies from my youth that I mostly remember are stuff like The Never ending story and stuff like that. Granted I hated the movie but it kinda shaped future stuff I knew I could deal with. I was into a lot of disney movies, Fantascia strangely enough a fave of mine when I was younger. I adored Mickey Mouse!

The Wizard of Oz, cliche but true. It began my love of Judy Garland, music theater and the arts. I watched it every day when I was 3 and 4.

Don't know if they particularly influenced my youth at all, but Star Wars and Grease are two 'biggies' I remember seeing. Star Wars was like... 'WOW ' I guess that may have started me on the old Sci-Fi kick...

Oh yeah, Star Wars and Grease! The musical I watched over and over was Singin' In The Rain ;D I also watched Jaws more times than was good for me Being taken to Moonraker when I was so young confirmed my partiality to James Bond, I used to watch Live and Let Die a *lot* Probably the film I've seen most times is Where Eagles Dare. I just *love* it to bits My fave film star when I was young was Harrison Ford. Raiders of The Lost Ark (Chuck likes!) was just and Blade Runner blew my mind. Han Solo ruled. I had this poster of his face that was about 4'x3' or something You know, I think I still have it somewhere...

The biggies for me are The Neverending Story and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I can't really watch them now without thinking of days off sick from school, snuggled on the sofa.
And as far as influence goes, that seems about right. Give me more weird stuff!
