Okay, I've embedded Chuck's IMDB page on the main site, on the entrance page, but I don't know if I like it or not. It looks a bit like adverts to me, I like the clean look of just the box.
BUT, it will apparently bump the site statistics up so I guess it's a good thing...
What does everyone else think?

Well, it 's certainly no problem at the bottom of the forum ;D Nice work, Teejay. If David Hewlett can do it, so can Chuck Is there any way of increasing the gap so that it appears down the page a ways on the website opener? That way you wouldn't even see it, right? (I have no idea about these things ) Or maybe it could go on the Home page where the Tangled Web is, lower down so it's hardly noticed? Most people will enter, right, so they're going to open the home page automatically. I dunno, but you're right, it takes the edge off the opener. Are you able to keep an eye on the stats? I mean, if the forum hits stay high, the website might not need the embedded window at all *oy, where'd that banana come from?!*

Yeah I totally agree with you Fi. I think it spoils the look of the entry page. I did move it down a bit, might try to move it a bit more. Otherwise, I did think of putting it inside as like you say people go in anyway, but I think that might look as bad! I'll see if I can check the stats. I quite like the look of it on the forum though What, you can't see it anywhere Muffin? Or just on the main site? It's on the Index page, where you click the box to go in...

Well on the forum it's right at the bottom of the page...
I've managed to move it down on the main site now, so you can't see it at all. Much better ;D

Oh, yeah, that rocks! No one will ever know It's not on the page with the index, it's at www.chuckcampbellonline.com where you click "Enter" - just scroll down. And now you don't even notice it! You know, you could imbed it in *every* page of the forum Chuck would get more hits than Tom Cruz

Done it! How does it work though? Wouldn't it work better in our favour if I embedded the main site on here? Or is it because everyone goes on IMDB that it notches up the hits?

Well, you've brought up an awesome idea, actually. If you embed the main site *as well* on this forum, then the main site will get hits every time we come here, thus raising the hits on the main site and increasing Google potential. You have effectively increased the imdb hits by embedding it here. That makes Chuck look good in imdb stats, and enhances Chuck's Google potential as well. Get it?

Well, the thing is, see, when you go to David Hewlett's website, he has thing little window thing down at the bottom of the page. It's like a window opening a link to the IMDB page for A Dog's Breakfast. So every time people visit his website, which I assume people do regularly to see updates and blog entries and stuff, it's like they are opening the "A Dog's Breakfast" page on the IMDB website. The more 'hits' or times people search on IMDB and view the page, the more kudos the film has, like a popularity thing. So David is sneakily using his blog to notch up IMDB hits on his film. So, I mentioned this to Bogwoppit, and we're like, hey! We could put a window in the forum for Chuck's IMDB page, and because we come here a lot, there would be lots of hits on his IMDB page! We weren't sure what that would do, exactly, but maybe I figured it would improve the likelihood of getting Chuck at the top of Google or something, hahaha! And then now we have the Official website imbedded in the forum, all us chatterboxes (or diligent mods ) coming here a lot, are notching up website hits as well. Um... even though we visit it several times a day anyway... Now that might mean a Google appearance for the website, which seems to be quite elusive... I hope that kind of makes sense to anyone wondering what the heck is going on! ;D
